Frequently Asked Questions

Think nature experience and camp vibes – without the hassle of setting up a tent or packing all your camp gear. There’s no room service or WIFI. Just you, the company you choose and the great outdoors. Oh, and a really cute cabin!

Well, we think you’ll agree… they’re cute. They’re damn cute! We fussed over every detail – from the design, to the finishes, to how high the towel hooks should be. Handcrafted right here in Perth by expert tiny home builders – Tiny Homes Perth; our cabins are 100% off grid, which is good for the environment and good for the soul. Each cabin has its own personality, designed to bring the outside in and feel as one with the landscape.

Each cabin is hidden in its own secluded area that we’ve found just for you. While each site is unique, they all have space to relax without the masses – and that’s hard to come by!

Pack your “I’m going bush for a few days get-up” – hat, sunscreen, insect repellant, jumper, walking shoes, toothbrush… It can get cold at night so bring some warm clothes.

Don’t forget food and drinks for your stay too.

Most importantly, bring your sense of adventure and leave your alarm clock behind. You won’t need that where you’re going!

Check-in: after 3pm

Check-out: before 11am

The cabins are self-check-in and ready to go when you arrive. There’s no need to tell us what time you’ll get there.

All cabins are accessible by a standard two-wheel-drive car in all conditions. This will still likely involve some dirt roads so drive carefully.

The secluded nature of our cabins means there is often a walk between where you can park your car and the cabin itself. This is clearly sign-posted and easy to navigate. We provide a cart for your bags.

Our cabins have everything you need to cook up a storm. Inside you will find a 2-burner gas stove, mini-fridge and all the pots, cutlery and utensils you’ll need.

The outdoor camp cooking setup is pretty good too with a gas Weber BBQ and of course – the campfire (season permitting)! You can use this for cooking in the winter months.

Pantry essentials are also supplied (olive oil, S+P, sugar, paper towel and al foil) and we have all your coffee and tea needs sorted thanks to our friends at Karvan Coffee and Love Tea.

The cabins have their own ensuite bathroom complete with a Mon Palmer rain-head shower, a hand basin and compost toilet.

Leif hand and body wash is also provided.

We sure did. The compost toilet looks like your run-of-the-mill loo but doesn’t flush. Liquids are diverted while solids are kept and dried under the unit. The system is odourless and is just another part of the adventure!

We’re all about an eco-friendly adventure here at Hidden Cabins so all our cabins are solar powered. The system is designed to power the lights, fridge, fan and your phone, but leave the hairdryers and straighteners at home.

Generally there is mobile phone coverage, however it can be a bit patchy depending on your provider. We like to think of it as an opportunity to unplug.

Sorry folks. At the moment we don’t have any pet friendly locations. This is largely due to considerations about local wildlife and farm animals. If you want to getaway with your pooch, sign up to our mailing list and we’ll let you know when we unlock pet friendly locations.

Our first two cabins are designed for maximum 2 adults and aren’t suitable for young kids. We’d love for the whole family to get off the grid, so we are working on getting some family friendly cabins out there. Sign up to our mailing list and we’ll let you know when we unlock family friendly locations.

Each location has its own fire pit for you to enjoy. During fire-ban months (generally October to the end of March) we have a strict no campfire policy and we ask that you take note of local fire bans, weather conditions and follow the safety guidelines provided.

Our minimum stay is 2 nights, but get-in-touch if you need to stay for 1 night and we’ll see what we can do for you.

We generally open bookings 4-6 months in advance in seasonal blocks. If you want to be the first to know when bookings open, sign up to our mailing list for the best chance to secure the dates you want. 

We know things don’t always go to plan, so if you need to reschedule or cancel your booking please contact us via email – [email protected].

For changes or cancellations made at least 21 days prior to arrival, guests can choose to either reschedule, receive a credit voucher for the full amount or we can provide you with a refund (less the 5% booking fee). For changes made 10-21 days prior to arrival, there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the booking amount. Cancellations within 10 days of your arrival make it difficult for us to fill the dates so last minute. Therefore, there will be no refund, credit voucher or rebooking – partial or otherwise.

We are a small family business so please be mindful that cancellations impact us greatly and we really appreciate it when guests postpone their booking rather than cancelling where possible.

If your booking is impacted by a COVID-19 Government-imposed lockdown we will get in touch with you to reschedule your booking or provide you with a credit voucher that you can use to stay at any of our Hidden Cabins within the next 12 months. We are keeping a close eye on the situation and will be in touch with you directly if there are important updates which may affect your stay.

If you are required to self-isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19 exposure as directed by Government/Health officials (i.e. you are a close contact of a confirmed case or you have tested positive for COVID-19), you are NOT permitted to stay at Hidden Cabins during any period of your isolation or quarantine. Our standard Booking Cancellation Policy applies (see above).
